“However, we argue that ...”: The Construction of Authorial Identities in English Research Articles

This research investigates how professional authors construct their authorial identities in English articles (RAs). Sixty were selected from three disciplines, biology, linguistics, and medicine, published by native non-native reputable international journals. First-person references the analyzed qualitatively quantitatively with help of corpus linguistic methods to examine they used express, density, cross-cultural cross-disciplinary variation.
